The opportunity of chaos

we gaze into the horizon
we hope for what might be
we check the radar
we worry about storms

the sky: a giant stage
for the drama of dreams,
the potential of disaster,
despair, and renewal.

with each anxious question
comes a chance to return
to who we are, to rest
into compassion, to reset
our direction

the dawn of each arrival
can be cluttered with our fears
unless the container is Christ:
Truth, love, mercy.

so we remember again:
throughout each milennia
God tidied the chaos
with mighty creativity
and seeded new life.

God is the great gardener,
the one who steers
the ship on stormy seas,
the painter of masterpieces
across the sky.

the fleeting masterpieces
invite and remind: our role
is to notice and take in the wonder
to pause and praise
to lament and mourn
to rest and renew
so that the "yes"
we utter to life
is as mighty and brave
as mountain peaks
reaching to the sky.

[Jesus] said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” -Mark 6:31

No matter if there’s storms or sunshine on your horizons, may God give you rest. I created this playlist for you, so may be renewed and gain courage to say yes to Holy Mystery.
